About the Emahoy Tsege Mariam Music Foundation
Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru composed more than 150 original works of music for piano, organ, opera, and chamber ensembles. She gave all of her copyrights to The Foundation in order to generate revenue and provide children with financial need access to music education.
The Foundation is composed of board members, consultants, and a documentary film team. The Foundation only hires contractors and it is actively seeking volunteers to fill in various staff positions to support the functions of several departments.
In Alexandria, Virginia, Peace Lutheran Church has partnered with Emahoy Music Foundation to support the music camp program for several years by providing space with musical instruments. Other organizations have benefitted from receiving music scholarships from the foundation.
